CT Scan Movies of Atherosclerosis

Movie 1

Movie 1: Calcifications can be seen along the length of the aorta, as well as its bifurcation into the two common lilac arteries. Some atherosclerosis can be seen on the aortic arch at time 0:49 at coordinates K8-M10. Following the aorta inferiorly (approximately M11), as it moves anteromedially (found at K8-L9 by 1:29), hyper-dense calcified plaques can be seen sporadically along the length of the descending aorta. The bifurcation into common iliac arteries begins at 1:39, and plaques can be seen inside the iliac vessels as well, highlighting the bifurcation (I9 and L10 at time 1:46).

Movie 2

Movie 2: Aortic calcifications can be seen beginning at 0:04 at K5, and spanning much of the length of the thoracic aorta and abdominal aorta thereafter (down to 0:06 at J12).
