Clinical Cases
Hip Replacement

Movie 1

Movie 1: The replaced hip can be seen on the patient's left (right side of the video) from time 1:47 to 2:21. Made of metal, it refracts the XR beams and is difficult to outline. The head of the replacement can be seen at time 1:50 from N10-P12. The shaft can then be seen running the length of the femur (approximately Q11).

Movie 2

Movie 2: The normal hip is visualized first on this video as a hypodense core with hyperdense edges (coordinates I17 and down). The head of the replacement can be seen at time 0:09 (H17-J19) as a bright, refracting hyperdense circle. The shaft is seen projecting inferiorly thereafter.
