The gastrointestinal tract may be divided into three regions during its development: the foregut, midgut, and hindgut. The derivatives of the caudal foregut are the stomach, liver, gallbladder, bile ducts, pancreas, and upper duodenum. They are all supplied by the celiac trunk. |
